Curtis Freedland, D.O., is a specialist in Gastroenterology and Nutrition. He is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also Board Certified by the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners.

Dr. Freedland completed his training in Gastroenterology at Wayne State University, Detroit Medical Center. He completed additional training in advanced therapeutic procedures and research at Wayne State University. His nutrition training was completed at the University of California, Davis which is a Clinical Nutritional Research Unit supported by the National Institute of Health.

He completed Internal Medicine training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Collectively, he has completed 8 years of postgraduate training after medical school and has authored several publications in Gastroenterology and Nutrition.

Dr. Freedland was raised in Detroit, Michigan and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Michigan State University Honors College, and his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, Iowa.

Dr. Freedland is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Gastroenterological Association and the American College of Gastroenterology. He was president of his district of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association and is currently an active member.
