  • Colonoscopy

    A colonoscopy is a routine procedure that allows for the examination of the inner lining of your large intestine.

    The procedure uses colonoscope (a flexible device) and your physician is looking for things like colon polyps, tumors, bleeding, or areas of inflammation. It is common during the procedure for your physician to take tissue samples for biopsy and to remove any abnormal growths.

  • Upper Endoscopy (EGD)

    An upper endoscopy (EGD) is a routine procedure that allows for the examination of the upper gastrointestinal tract (includes the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum)

    The procedure uses an endoscope (a flexible device) and your physician is looking for things like ulcers, bleeding, tumors, abnormal tissue, or areas of inflammation. It is common during the procedure for your physician to take tissue samples for biopsy and to remove any abnormal growths.
